Every week the Interfaith Outreach Food Shelf served 200+ households in our community.

Food Shelf Shopper Assistants help program participants while they are shopping in the food shelf and help staff when needed during the shift. This could involve greeting shoppers, gathering items for shoppers, bagging items, restocking shelves, and answering questions.

This role requires following all safety guidelines required by Interfaith Outreach, be able to stand/move/bend on cement for length of shift, be able to lift 20lbs, be over 18, and be able to respectfully work with diverse populations.

Shifts are available:

Mondays: 12:45 - 3 p.m. & 2:45 - 6 p.m.

Wednesdays: 8:30 a.m. - 12:15 p.m., 1:30 - 5 p.m., & 4:30 - 7:15 p.m.

Thursdays: 4:30 - 7:15 p.m.

Fridays: 8:30 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.

The organization provides both emergency and long-term solutions around food and clothing, housing, employment, child care, transportation, and connections to other resources. Learning and service opportunities engage individuals, businesses, schools, faith communities, civic groups, health systems, and foundations. Together, Interfaith Outreach and its partners create opportunities for all to thrive.
