Volunteer website- Join us on Saturday November 16 th for a day of planting Natives at the Northwest School of Wooden Boatbuilding. We will be transforming the swale on campus into a thriving native rain garden that will help support our wild life, enhance water quality and restore the natural ecosystem. The weeds have been pulled and the ground is ready to plant! Your help is essential in creating a lasting impact for both the environment and our community. No prior experience is needed, just bring your enthusiasm and willingness to dig in!
Two working shifts:
9.00am - 12.30pm
12.00pm - 2.30pm
Tools availible:
2 flat shovels
2 round-pointed shovel
1 pot hole digger
2 clippers
Please feel welcomed to us any tools provided or bring your own! Any extras will be helpful.

Description
The Northwest School of Wooden Boatbuilding
located in Port Hadlock, Washington. The Boat School is an educational institution accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Colleges and Schools (ACCSC), and attracts students from around the world.
Founded in 1981, the School has taught wooden boatbuilding and marine systems skills to more than 1,600 students. We offer full-time programs that include a 12 month Associate of Occupational Studies (AOS) degree in Boatbuilding, a 9-month Diploma program in Marine Systems, and 5-day Intensive courses in Marine Systems topics. Our mission is to teach and preserve boatbuilding and marine systems while developing the individual as a craftsperson. Since 1981, over 1,800 students have graduated from the School’s vocational programs, and thousands more have attended summer and community workshops. This tradition continues today.
