About Us: We are a nonprofit startup with a mission to build tech-enabled tools that promote financial empowerment. finEQUITY.org’s goal is to accelerate the prison-to-prosperity pipeline and seeks to address the financial toll that incarceration has on (limited income) families by helping those impacted by incarceration fill financial voids, establish financial histories, and access anti-usury financial services.

Your Role: finEQUITY.org is seeking a dedicated volunteer User Researcher to gain insights into our participants’ experiences with using our online financial health services. We are seeking a volunteer who can contribute 5 or more hours per week in December and January.The goal of this role is to gather valuable participant feedback to improve our current services and potentially inform future program changes.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Proven experience in user research, including conducting interviews, surveys, or usability testing.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate research findings into actionable recommendations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with participants professionally.
• Familiarity with research tools such as Google Forms, Typeform, or other survey platforms is preferred.
