When: Saturday, December 14th from 3:30 pm - 7:00 pm

The Actors Theatre Workshop (ATW) is seeking dedicated volunteers to assist with setting up for our Holiday Community Dinner and Celebration. This special event brings together our ATW supporters and community members for a joyful holiday gathering, and your help will ensure everything is perfectly prepared to make it an unforgettable evening.

This celebration is part of ATW’s ongoing efforts to support the community through the arts, and we couldn't do it without the help of volunteers like you!

What will you do:

  • Set up our theater space for the community dinner, including arranging tables, chairs, and festive decorations to create a beautiful and inviting atmosphere.

  • Prepare the dining area before guests arrive, ensuring everything is in place for a smooth and enjoyable evening.

  • Assist with food setup, including organizing meals and drinks for easy service to our guests.

  • Decorate the space, adding holiday touches like garlands, centerpieces, and festive lights.

Other possible tasks:

  • Moving and arranging furniture as needed

  • Last-minute gift wrapping or decoration adjustments

  • Assisting with supply runs if needed (ATW will provide cash or reimburse for this.).

Other important info:

  • The day’s events will be videotaped & photographed for our program documentation and communication purposes. Volunteers must be comfortable with this. We will distribute Video Releases to each volunteer when they arrive to review and sign.

  • Participants must dress comfortably: sneakers / flat shoes and clothes they can move around in.

  • Rooms can be crowded with furniture and people during this volunteer event.

  • Due to the popularity of these events, participants who sign-up should arrive PROMPTLY and stay for the whole event.

  • Participants with fir or pine tree pollen allergies should take allergy medication before arriving.

  • Participants will be split into smaller groups to complete the overall. Please bring a can-do attitude to the work for the day!

Description

Founded over two decades ago, the Actors Theatre Workshop is an established pioneer in non-profit theatre that produces classical and contemporary plays, develops new dramatic works, trains and develops actors, directors and writers while making a difference in the lives of at-risk youth and the community at large. Thurman E. Scott, ATW's artistic director, Executive Producer and Founder, is a widely acknowledged expert of artistic project development, an innovator of award-winning arts curriculums and programs for proffessional artistic training, and has a long and successful history of public service to culturaly under-served communities.
