About Seminole County TNVR

Location:

Mission Statement

Seminole County TNVR is a group of volunteers who Trap, Neuter/Spay, Vaccinate, and Return (TNVR) community cats throughout Seminole County. We rely on grant funding and donations to provide TNVR services free of charge for Seminole County residents, making it easy for residents and businesses to control the population of feral, semi-feral, and homeless community cats.

Description

Seminole County TNVR is 100% volunteer-run. Since our inception in 2022, we have TNVR'd over 2,200 cats throughout Seminole County, which Seminole County Animal Services recently recognized as a key factor in decreasing euthanization rates and new (feral) kitten births. Last year, our volunteers donated 4,895 hours and 10,380 miles. Our TNVR program removes the daunting logistical barriers that are most difficult for residents: trapping the cats, transporting them, and keeping them in a sheltered, staffed recovery site for 1-3 days before returning to their original location. Our program aims to keep this valuable service free of charge for Seminole County residents. We need more volunteers to keep up with the demand for our services.
