Description
Compassus Hospice & Palliative Care provides for the end-of-life needs of the patients we are for. Our main office is located in Northampton, MA. We serve those who are eligible for hospice care who reside in Franklin County, Hampden County and Hampshire County. Compassus Hospice provides end-of-life care to those who wish to be under the care of hospice and who meet the criteria. Hospice is for those whose life expectancy is six months or less. Our team is experienced in meeting the end-of-life needs of the patients with whom we work. Our goal is to provide compassionate care, psychosocial support, companionship, spiritual support and comfort to our patients to enhance the quality of their lives, remain comfortable and to die with dignity. With our patients and their loved ones, our team develops a comprehensive plan of care to best manage the patient's symptoms, values and wishes.
We believe that every moment of life is meaningful. We want our patients to live to their fullest abilities and enjoy their remaining time at the end of their lives. Our volunteers help us achieve this. Our volunteers are compassionate, caring individuals who offer our patients socialization, stimulation and companionship, as well as giving respite to our patients' loved ones.
