Holiday Helper-Now through December 16th Remote Volunteer Opportunity. Make the holidays a little brighter by creating baskets or donating an unwrapped toy for a local family in need.

Detailed Description

Sometimes families face hard situations ... but with your help, they don’t need to face them alone! Your gift can lift a burden for a struggling parent or bring a little extra joy to a child in need. Whether you purchase a Holiday gift or a gift card, you can make sure each child in your community receives a special gift this season. Items must be in new condition. This is a great opportunity to receive community service hours. There is no limit to how many hours you can receive. Once completed the items can be mailed or dropped off to our location located at Children’s Home Society of FL 3335 Forest Hill Blvd West Palm Beach, FL 33406 Attn: Julie Young, Monday through Friday 9am-4:30 pm, no holidays.

Step 1: Complete a profile on our volunteer website https://chsfl.volunteerhub.com

Step 2: Register under "Holiday Helper."

Step 3: Register for how many events are scheduled according to how many hours you need. Example-each event represents 2 hours. If you need 8 hours -register for four events.

*Please note date selected on the calendar does not represent drop off date. Items can be dropped off anytime between now and December 16 th.

Step 4:

A. Create a basket. Visit here for basket ideas https://chsfl.org/events/holiday-drive/ . Basket must contain a minimum of 5 items.

B. Purchase a holiday gift from our Amazon wish list- https://www.amazon.com/registries/gl/owner-view/2WMREDJ0TBVPW?share=false

C. Drop off an unwrapped holiday gift or toy.

Suggested items-Gift cards, Infant Toys, Holiday gifts for teens. For a full list of suggested gifts please visit https://chsfl.org/events/holiday-drive/ .

Travel size gift sets are okay.

Each basket, unwrapped toy/holiday gift, and item purchased from our Amazon wish list will earn you 2 hours of volunteer time.

Step 5: Drop off or mail your items to Children’s Home Society of FL 3335 Forest Hill Blvd West Palm Beach, FL 33406 Attn: Julie Young.

Please share volunteer opportunities with anyone else you know who needs volunteer hours. There is no age requirement. Great opportunity for busy adults and students. Proof of your Amazon order or shipping receipt is all that is needed for me to complete your form electronically or to provide you with a volunteer letter on company letter head. All items must be new.
