Calling all Volunteers and Cancer Fighters!!

Join the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) in cheering on our AACR Runners for Research athletes as they tackle the AACR Philadelphia Marathon and the Dietz & Watson Half Marathon! Our athletes have been training hard and fundraising for months - let's cheer them on and show our support on race day!

Dates/Times:

-Saturday, 11/23/2024: Half Marathon - Starts at 7 AM, ends around 10 AM (or whenever the last athletes run by).
-Sunday, 11/24/2024: AACR Philadelphia Marathon - Starts at 7 AM, ends around 10 AM (or whenever the last athlete runs by).

You can choose to volunteer for one day or both-whatever works best for you!


Location:
The intersection of S 6th and Chestnut. (across from Wawa).
Easily accessible from SEPTA (Market Frankford Line, 5thSt Station) and PATCO (8th and Market).

SEPTA- Take MFL to 5th Street Independence Hall Station. Head west on Market St and make a left on S 6th.

PATCO - Take PATCO to 8th and Market. Walk east on Market St toward S 7thSt. Turn right onto S 7thSt. Turn left onto Chestnut.

Bring your enthusiasm! Posters, pompoms, noisemakers, and anything else to make some noise are welcome! Please wear as much GREEN as possible! Snacks and water will be provided and we’re happy to also provide community service documentation if needed.
