ORGANIZATION: The Salvation Army of Summit County

Each year, The Salvation Army assists over 1,000 families in Summit County through our "Angel Tree" and Create-A-Christmas programs in our community.

We need volunteers to help us not only pack toys but help on the days when the families pick up the toys.

This year we're doing all the work for packing and distributing toys at 375 Ghent Road in Fairlawn. It's a huge parking lot with a large warehouse where we can get the job done in one location (located in the Signet Jewelers complex).

Here's the dates and times we need volunteers to come help!

TOY PACKING

Dec 6th - 11-4 pm - Set up and organization day, some truck unloading.

Dec 9th, 10th, 12th and 13th - 12:30-4 - Toy Packing (it's not gift wrapping)

Dec 16th - 9-1 (if needed)

TOY DISTRIBUTION DAY

Dec 17th - We offer 3 shifts. This is the day when all the families come and pick up the toys we've been packing and the ones donated through the Angel Tree program.

  • #1 - 8:30-12 pm
  • #2 - 11:30-3:30 pm
  • #3 - 3-6:30 pm

Create-A-Christmas (toy pickup) - 12/19 - 1-6 pm

Let us know if you'd like to help, we need as many volunteers as possible to meet the needs of the families and children in our community. Plus, it's a lot of fun!
