Mission Statement
To empower Kenyan women and girls by providing comprehensive menstrual health education and access to affordable, sustainable menstrual products, thereby eradicating period poverty and promoting gender equality
Description
Founded in 2023, our organization is dedicated to breaking the cycle of period poverty in Kenya. We believe that every woman and girl deserves the right to manage her menstrual cycle with dignity and health.Through our educational programs, we equip women and girls with the knowledge and skills to understand and manage their bodies. Our programs cover topics such as menstrual hygiene, reproductive health, and body positivity. We also provide safe spaces for women and girls to discuss their experiences and challenges related to menstruation. In addition to education, we work to ensure that women and girls have access to affordable and sustainable menstrual products. We partner with local suppliers and organizations to distribute sanitary pads, reusable menstrual products, and menstrual cups to those in need. We also advocate for policies that promote access to affordable menstrual products for all.We have developed a menstrual health education booklet to provide comprehensive and reliable information on menstruation. The booklet covers topics such as the menstrual cycle, menstrual hygiene, reproductive health, and body positivity. It is designed to be accessible and informative for women and girls of all ages.
We believe that addressing period poverty is essential for gender equality and social justice. By breaking the stigma surrounding menstruation and providing women and girls with the resources they need, we can create a more equitable and inclusive society.
