Purpose
To create an infrastructure that identifies open volunteer positions, implements various methods of volunteer recruitment, and designs volunteer onboarding and retention programs.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain database of volunteers
- Coordinate with other committees to identify their volunteer needs and opportunities
- Help draft position descriptions for volunteer opportunities
- Recruit volunteers through a variety of methods including articles, social media posts, VolunteerMatch listings, trainings, emails, and other events
- Follow up with people who have expressed interest in volunteering to determine a best fit
- Assist chapter leaders with volunteer onboarding
- Oversee and facilitate volunteer hours tracking
- Ensure all volunteers are acknowledged for their participation in programs, events, and annually
- Prepare monthly report for Board of Directors
Support and Training
- Budgeted funds available
- Access to resource library on shared drive
- Coordination with and support from Executive Director
Commitment
- 3+ hours/week
Qualifications
- Excellent organization and communication skills
- Regular access to the internet
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn additional software programs (i.e., databases, Canva, etc.)
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn about the chapter and its programs
- Enjoy interacting with the people of all ages and backgrounds

Pilchuck Audubon Society (PAS) is a grass-roots environmental organization with members throughout Snohomish County and Camano Island, Washington.
Our mission is to conserve and restore natural ecosystems focusing on birds and other wildlife for the benefit of the earth’s biological diversity. Education, advocacy, community activism, and community science are the major avenues we will use to achieve our goal to protect and enhance the natural environment in Snohomish County, Camano Island and the State of Washington.
We serve as a local chapter of the National Audubon Society. PAS is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt, non-profit organization incorporated in the state of Washington.
