We are seeking a passionate and organized Volunteer Event Coordinator to join our team in New York. The Event Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of CSAF's events in New York, including fundraising galas, art exhibitions, and special community events such as the upcoming Fashion Show in February. This is a key role for someone who wants to make a meaningful contribution to our mission through hands-on event management experience.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the planning and execution of CSAF events in New York, including the February Fashion Show.
- Coordinate logistics such as venue selection, vendor management, and event setup and breakdown.
- Work closely with CSAF staff, board members, and volunteers to ensure seamless event operations.
- Manage guest lists, invitations, RSVPs, and attendee communication.
- Help secure sponsorships, in-kind donations, and other resources to support events.
- Coordinate with marketing teams to promote events via social media, email campaigns, and other channels.
- Support post-event activities, including thank-you correspondence and event debriefings.
- Maintain clear communication with the team regarding progress, timelines, and potential issues.
- Prior experience in event planning or project management is a plus, but not required.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Passion for arts education and the mission of CSAF.
- Familiarity with New York event venues and vendors is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or event management software is beneficial.
- Hands-on experience in event management for a non-profit organization.
