Friends of Indianapolis Dogs Outside has a mission of improving the lives of outside dogs. One of our programs is our Pet Food Pantry and Warehouse Open Hours. For our Open Hours, we are open twice a week for clients to come get needed supplies for their pets.
Open Hours volunteers can assist with a few different tasks, including:
-Texting Check-in Process - using our Android cell phone to check in clients for Open Hours assistance
-Parking Lot Attendant - assist clients with texting process if needed. Ensure clients are parking in designated spots.
-Runner - Gather items for clients orders and asssit them with loading them in their car.

Description
FIDO stands for Friends of Indianapolis Dogs Outside. We are a non-profit group that works in low-income neighborhoods of Indianapolis. Our focus is finding and helping dogs living isolated on the end of a chain. We help people transition dogs inside the home to be part of the family. We also build large, secure enclosures to free dogs from the end of a chain and have a monthly pet food pantry. We consist of FIDO staff, contractors and 60+ volunteers.
