The best family Halloween event in town! Trick or treat candy stations, costume contests for all ages, face painting, vendors, special Halloween-themed treats for the zoo animals, and more await the entire family on Saturday, October 26 and Sunday, October 27 for Boo at the Zoo, presented by Delta Dental of Idaho.
We’re looking for volunteers to help out at the event. Paint faces, hand out candy, judge costume contests, or dress up as costumed characters! Available shift times on both days are 9:15AM - 1:30PM and 12:45 - 5PM. Must be at least 13 years old. Individuals and groups up 10 people are welcome. Zoo Boise is a service of the City of Boise and is supported by the Friends of Zoo Boise, a 501(c)(3) membership organization that supports Zoo Boise in the area of animal acquisition, capitol improvement projects, education programs, volunteer opportunities, and special events. The goal of each of these components is to increase public awareness, knowledge, and appreciation of the zoo, wild animals, animal habitats, species conservation and the environment.
Zoo Boise is accredited by the Association of Zoos & Aquariums (AZA).
