Nightkap is an intimate concert event that offers people an opportunity to reconnect with each other in a charming environment while enjoying musical entertainment and poetry from amazing local artists. The event is meant to promote culture and creativity. Our goal is to provide a safe space for artists and the community to come together. We are looking for volunteers to be greeters and part of the welcome committee as well as those interested in helping with the set up and break down of the event.

Our Mission To unite artists and communities to inspire positive social change. Our Vision to provide a community arts center that will act as an emergency shelter at night.

Description

Urban Poets is a non-profit arts organization that hosts various events in metro cities that promote art, music, and literacy.

We are creating a community for artists to share their work and network with other professionals. Urban Poets offers literacy support for the youth through art programs and workshops. We also offer artist development tools and resources, community activities, and provide music & art entertainment. We provide a space for artist to feel safe and comfortable to indulge in creative expression.

Our Goals

  • to provide free events for artists to perform, strengthen their skills, and grow their network.
  • to provide free music entertainment events and activities for the community.
  • to provide free art programs for the youth and college students.
  • to raise donations for people who are facing displacement or are homeless.
  • to expand new forms of art and technology to lower income communities that traditionally have less access to resources and exposure to various art fields.
