QUICK OVERVIEW
We are having an Adoption Event soon on Saturday, October 26th at the Petco in West Hollywood from 1-6 PM.

MISSION
We are a 501c-3 dog rescue foundation dedicated to rescuing dogs, the day they are to be euthanized, from various Los Angeles shelters and placing them in loving homes. We do NOT take dogs in ... we rescue only from shelters. The Ace of Hearts Foundation is in memory of "Ace", a wonderful American Bull dog who was rescued from death, and touched the lives of many! (Especially founder Kari Whitman!) We rescue all breeds...and don't discriminate against any!

VOLUNTEER ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Need at least 20+ volunteers at the event
• Need at least 7 transporters (to get pups to/from the events and transport food to the dogs)
• Need at least 3 homemade food chefs

Items Needed at the Event

• 2 Cases of bottled water
• 1 Bag of ice

Transports Needed
Not all of our fosters can make it to our event, so we ask for a little extra help from other volunteers to help get them to get the supplies we need. Let us know which dogs you can take, some are close to each other! You can come between 4pm to 5 m to pick up the supplies.

Doggie Chefs
If you are interested in being one of our doggie chefs. Here are the recipes we use.
*dog food can be dropped off between 1-4 PM*

We need LOTS of homemade food for all of our dogs, so let us know if you can help out and we can provide you with some handy-dandy dog food recipes (:

Time
1:00 pm to 6:00 pm for Volunteers
(event runs from 2:00 to 5:00 pm for the public)

WE NEED STANDBY VOLUNTEERS
As you may already know, we are always in need of standby volunteers. We like to have a list of 5 who are available for 2 weeks out. Can you be on-call in case we have an emergency that could be transporting a dog to the vet or new foster home, giving a dog a Freedom Ride from a shelter, or delivering medication or supplies to a dog in need? If you are available, please reply with the days and time windows that we can mark you down for.
