Description
Hospice is not a "place" but a philosophy. The care provided by Suncrest Hospice does not focus on halting, delaying, or curing of an illness but rather on comfort. At the center of hospice care is the core belief that each of us has a right to die pain-free and with dignity.
Suncrest hospice provides exceptional care to their patients by qualified and compassionate physicians, nurses, aides, social workers, spiritual advisors, and volunteers. Our team is committed to our patients comfort and quality of life while also supporting the patient's family members. Our goal is to manage our patient's pain and symptoms, respond to the emotional, psychosocial and spiritual needs. We also provide education to caregivers on how to better care for our patients. In all of this, the volunteer has the opportunity to play an essential role within the team.
