Reclaim Your Vote: Your Voice, Your Power, Our Democracy
Voting rights are fundamental to our quality of life and democracy! Restrictive voting laws limit your rights, quiet your voice, and suppress your vote. Let’s work together to push back against the coordinated effort to undermine your access to power, self-determination, and community representation. Voting rights are civil rights!
The Urban League of Greater Madison is proud to join the other Urban League affiliates in Wisconsin and the National Urban League in nonpartisan efforts to (1) Register more voters, (2) Educate more voters on their rights, and (3) Motivate more voters to get out to the polls to protect our democracy.
VOLUNTEER to help make sure no votes are left behind!We are seeking at least 40 volunteers between now and election day to help in various nonpartisan efforts to ensure everyone has the information and access they need to exercise their vote. Your involvement will help ensure that every eligible voter is empowered to make their voice heard.
Volunteer Roles:
- Neighborhood Canvasser: Participate in neighborhood canvassing events where you’ll provide crucial voting information, such as where to vote, voter ID requirements, early and absentee voting rules, and more. Training and snacks will be provided to all volunteers.
Volunteer Dates/Times:
- Every Saturday from October 19 through November 5
- Monday, November 4 (the day before Election Day)
- Election Day: Tuesday, November 5
