ORGANIZATION: FAMILY SERVICE LEAGUE INC

C.A.I.R. volunteer will work with a diverse client population on various needs, with the end goal of
meeting the clients’ needs. CAIR volunteer will serve as a liaison between the client, the agency and
community resources.

ASSIGNMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:

Administrataive:

Maintain accurate records of hours worked.
Maintain programmatic records including accurate and complete client records, including
assessments, progress notes, receipt of agency information, completed paperwork/applications,
confidentiality paperwork, etc.
Program:
Build productive relationships with clients.
Maintain proper boundaries with individuals and families.
Fully understand role and expectations within the program.
Follow supervisor’s direction on all client and program matters.
Provide reliable information to families and client support systems.
Meet with clients in the agency office or via telephone

We are a Long Island based non-profit human services organization providing a safety net for people in need. Touching the lives of 50,000 people annually. FSL delivers tangible help and crisis intervention across a spectrum of service areas including mental illness, drug and alcohol abuse, homelessness, job training , computer literacy, trauma counseling, at-risk youth, family counseling and senior support. In addition, FSL provides pre-school learning centers and universal pre-K programs.
