Carpe Librum will be popping up at Caryle Crossing for a fundraising book sale on Saturday, October 26! We will need volunteers to help us set-up the book sale (shelving books, etc.) and/or break down the tables and bookshelves for this fundraising event. This is a great opportunity to spend an hour or two supporting literacy and education in our local public schools.
Can you lend a hand?
- The set-up shift is from 8:30am-9:30am, helping to set up books on shelves and tables.
- The pack-up shift is from 4:45pm-6pm, helping to break down the tables and pack up books.
- You'll be a great fit for this opportunity if you're comfortable working outside, and can bend, and reach higher shelves (boxes when fill are 30 pounds though limited lifting needed).
If interested, sign up via VolunteerMatch and we will reach out with more details. Contact Natalia at nporras@turningthepage.org with any questions. If you’re interested in helping out at one of our other pop-up book sales around the region, you can view our sale calendar here: https://turningthepage.org/events/. Thank you!
(By the way, we’re not just any bookstore: we’re a fundraising bookstore! Carpe Librum collects donated books, CDs, and DVDs to support the education nonprofit Turning the Page.)
