Here at Compassus, we recognize the impact that loss has on the family/caregivers of our patients. For this reason, we provide bereavement services to the family/caregivers of our patients after they have passed.

Compassus Hospice of Metairie, LA is seeking a dedicated individual to assist in bereavement services provided to the families of our hospice patients.

The bereavement volunteer will:

  • Assist in sending bereavement mailings and making calls to families.
  • Recieve ample training from the volunteer coordinator regarding hospice, volunteer standards, and health and safety precautions.
  • Recieve ample training from the bereavement coordinator prior to task assignment.
  • Commit to volunteering for 2-3 hours a week to assist in berevement tasks.
