Satisfeed is seeking dedicated volunteers to assist with our food pickups on Mondays and Thursdays. You will work alongside our truck driver to collect food donations from grocery stores, which are then distributed to over 1,200 families each month. Volunteers do not need to serve every Monday and Thursday. We will schedule shifts using a calendar to accommodate your availability.

Time Commitment: Mondays and Thursdays, 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM (Flexible Scheduling)

Responsibilities:

* Assist the truck driver in picking up food from local grocery stores.

* Lift and load food items onto the truck (must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds).

* Help organize and secure food items for safe transport.

* Spend roughly half of your time lifting/loading and the other half accompanying the driver.

Requirements:

* Ability to lift at least 50 pounds comfortably.

* Comfortable with physical tasks such as loading/unloading.

* No experience needed for driving a truck, as you will not be responsible for driving.

Impact:

Your help will directly support Satisfeed’s mission to provide essential food to over 1,200 families each month. By volunteering your time, you’ll play a key role in ensuring food gets to those who need it most.

Description

Satisfeed works to resolve food insecurity based on different needs - for low-income families that need weekly sustenance or out-of-school children who need weekend support. Understanding that local hunger comes in many forms, we work on various levels to feed our community.

Food Rescue lies at the heart of Satisfeed’s operations. We gather groceries and donations from volunteers and community partners to redirect food surplus to families in need.
