Are you passionate about animal welfare and looking to make a meaningful impact? PAWS Wakefield seeks a dedicated and dynamic Vice President to help lead our mission of protecting and advocating for animals-in-need.
About Us: PAWS is an all-volunteer, community-driven organization committed to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming felines while promoting responsible pet ownership and advocating for animal rights. Our team is fueled by compassion, collaboration, and a shared vision for a better world for animals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the PAWS Officers and Board members in strategic planning and organizational management.
- Lead and inspire our dedicated volunteers.
- Oversee program development and community outreach initiatives.
- Collaborate with local shelters, businesses, and community members.
- Support fundraising efforts and grant applications.
Qualifications:
- Passion for animal welfare and advocacy.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Experience in nonprofit management or volunteer coordination is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively and foster a positive team environment.
- Flexibility and commitment to the organization's mission.

Description
PAWS is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue and foster network, founded in Wakefield, MA, in 1982 by the late Esther Nowell. PAWS grew out of Wakefield’s Canine Control Committee and now responds to various animal-related needs, focusing on the needs of felines in the Greater Boston area-especially north and northwest of Boston.
