Hospice Companion Volunteer provides direct, non-medical supportive care at patient's homes, nursing homes, or assisted living homes as a member of the patient's Interdisciplinary Team. The Companion Volunteer donates their time to the supportive needs of patients and families who need the assistance even if for a short time. Provided services may include: reading to a patient, singing or listening to music, coloring with a patient, talking, watching TV, shopping, companionship, meal preparation, respite for caregiver, and all other services agreed upon by you, the Volunteer Coordinator, and the Patient/Family.
