Agate Housing and Services helps people experiencing homelessness with the mission of ending homelessness and hunger. We value dignity, so it's important to us that our facilities are clean, so our community members feel dignified and welcoming in our spaces.

However, it is common for nonprofits to be strapped for resources, and we don’t always have the capacity to keep things as tidy as we would like. We have cleaning erasers (like Magic Erasers) which can scrub off scuff marks and similar cosmetic damages from walls, baseboards, and other surfaces. Help us fill this gap by scrubbing walls so that people in need feel welcome and dignified in our spaces!

What - Use cleaning erasers to remove scuff marks, chair scrapes, and other blemishes from walls

When - Monday - Friday, 9AM - 5PM

Where - 2309 Nicollet Ave, Minneapolis, MN, 55404 (more locations to come, ask Noah Chan)

Who - anyone ages 18 and up (those under 18 may require a parent, guardian, or chaperone), 1-3 people at a time

Requires - able-bodied movement (marks are usually near the floor to the mid-section of walls), transportation to the site

There are other locations and spaces to choose from, so please reach out to see what rooms need erasing and how long it might take (1-2 hours typically).
