Plus, you get the benefit of free parking and free admission before or after volunteering so you can enjoy our remarkable forests & gardens.
ALL PLAY Green Teens Day - Seed Starting
This ALL PLAY Green Teens Day at HF&G is especially designed for teens ages 15-19! Are you a fan of Cleveland's dark, cold days? Many of our native plants need exactly these conditions to prompt germination and flowering!
Come to our Cleveland Botanical Garden campus to work with Green Corps, HF&G's high school career exploration program, and help us sow seeds for CBG's collection and for our community partners. Not only will you hear how plants that evolved in our climate benefit from vernalization, but you can also go home with materials to start your own plot of native pollinators! Then join us afterward for a light lunch - and a chance to learn more about volunteering at HF&G and about our Green Corps program.
This activity is open to volunteers ages 15-19 only. No experience is necessary, and all tools and instructions are provided.
