Give Kids An Amazing Halloween at NVCS Trick or Treat Festival

ORGANIZATION: North Valley Caring Services (NVCS)

Volunteer for North Valley Caring Services Trick-or-Treat Event and help families have a safe, wonderful Halloween!

Why: By volunteering at our Halloween event, you will help create a safe, fun, and inclusive environment for children and families in our community, many of whom face economic hardships. Your time and effort will ensure these families can enjoy a memorable experience, bringing joy and connection while supporting our mission of community engagement and support.

Who: The mission of North Valley Caring Services is to empower neighborhood residents to build a vision of their community's future and to actively engage in solving local problems.

What to Expect:

There are three shifts with different needs that volunteers will be able to help make this event look and feel amazing for the families:

9:00AM-1:00PM: Pre Event Readiness - 8 Volunteers

1:00PM-5:30PM: Pre Event Readiness - 30 Volunteers

5:30PM-9:30PM: Event Time - 60 Volunteers

All volunteers will:

Parking Passes will be issued for volunteers.

You'll also receive a t-shirt to wear while volunteering!

Event Time Volunteers will have access to food vendors (while supplies last) and are welcome to grab any available giveaways during the event.

What's Required:

Physical Demands must be able to carry at least (20lbs).

Specialized skiled optional but not required to have creative and be friendly.

Description

In the Breakfast Program we are seeking volunteers to help prepare the Breakfast meal. We are also in need of gym monitor's , shower monitor's and volunteers to help us clean after the program has ended. This program is held three times a week Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 6:30 am to 9:00am In the Food Pantry we need volunteers to organize and sort non-perishable food and create food bags. (Volunteers are needed Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00am to 12:00pm) In our Youth Program we are seeking volunteers to tutor and mentor students; as well create arts and craft activities and sports with them. ( Program hours are Monday to Thursday from 2:30pm to 6:00pm)
