Nova Ukraine is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing humanitarian aid and support to Ukraine. We aim to raise awareness about the challenges faced by Ukrainians and to mobilize resources for relief efforts.

The Volunteer Social Media Coordinator will play a crucial role in enhancing our online presence and engagement. This position involves creating, curating, and scheduling social media content to promote our mission, initiatives, and events.

Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in English; proficiency in Ukrainian is preferred.
• Experience with social media platforms and content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Hootsuite and Meta Suite).
• The content calendar is done through Asana.
• Slack - preferred platform for communication.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Creative mindset with a passion for storytelling and community engagement.
• Ability to work independently in social media management or digital marketing is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Needs to be able to collaborate with the team; work with content ideas to publication.
• Make sure to check for approvals from different parties.
• Ability to join weekly meetings, Wed 4-4:45 pm PST.
• Create visually applealing and engaging social media posts (graphics, videos, stories) for platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
• Curate relevant content from other sources that resonate with our audience and support our mission.
• Collaborate with team members to highlight key initiatives and events.
• Analyze social media metrics to assess the effectiveness of campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Stay updated on social media trends and best practices to enhance our outreach.
