Position Summary: The Social Media Coordinator for Cat Rescue Team will play a vital role in promoting raising awareness of community cat issues and helping to expand our volunteer and donor network. This position is ideal for someone passionate about animal welfare, skilled in digital communication, and eager to help our feline friends.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Content Creation: Develop and curate engaging content, including photos, videos, and stories that highlight the work we do to help homeless cats and kittens.
• Social Media Management: Manage and maintain our social media accounts (e.g., Facebook and Instagram) by scheduling posts, responding to comments, and engaging with followers.
• Campaign Development:
  • Creating and managing campaigns to raise awareness about cat welfare, the importance of spaying/neutering, and the challenges faced by stray or abandoned cats.
  • Promoting volunteer opportunities and engaging current volunteers through social media to encourage involvement in the organization’s activities.
  • Promoting fundraising events or initiatives to support the group’s operations, such as sponsorships for specific cats or donation drives.
• Analytics Monitoring: Track and analyze social media metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to ensure consistent messaging and promote upcoming events and initiatives.
• Community Engagement: Foster a positive online community by building and maintaining a community by interacting with followers, responding to comments, and encouraging discussions about cat care and rescue efforts.

Requirements:

• Passion for Animals: A genuine love for cats and a commitment to animal welfare.
• Social Media Savvy: Experience managing social media platforms with a strong understanding of best practices and trends.
• Creative Skills: Ability to create visually appealing and engaging content, including photography and graphic design (basic skills preferred).
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey our mission and engage with our audience.
• Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to the dynamic nature of a volunteer role and work collaboratively with a diverse team.
