ORGANIZATION: A New Leaf

A New Leaf is looking for dedicated volunteers who can help us maximize our impact by building and strengthening our volunteer culture, which always puts our clients first.


You will provide weekly supervision for one or more Social Work Interns to help them apply social work competencies to their intern experience.

What to expect?

  • Provide supervision for Bachelor or Master Level student interns placed in our various programs
  • Serve as a resource to current staff who are providing site supervision of interns throughout the agency.
  • Provide instruction on a regular basis and a supervisory conference, ordinarily one hour a week.
  • Assist the student with the development of a learning contract and performance expectations.
  • MUST have a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Social Work with two years post-grad experience
  • Class One Fingerprint Clearance Card & be 21+

By working with people to overcome and resolve the obstacles that lead to their homelessness, domestic violence or behavioral health obstacles, our agency gives them the opportunity to Turn Over a New Leaf.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Driver's License Needed
  • Background Check
  • Must be at least 30
  • Orientation or Training
  • 3-4 hours per week, depending on number of interns, with commitment to serve for duration of FULL internship (usually 2 semesters or 6 months).
  • Must have a Bachelors or Masters in Social Work with 2 years post-degree experience in the field. Does not need to be currently working in the field, but willing to learn about LEAF programs.
