Listen and Talk is inviting volunteers to join us as we plan and prepare for our biggest fundraiser of the year. There are so many elements that go into our annual Gala Benefit and many ways to help! As a planning volunteer you will have the opportunity to represent Listen and Talk in the community to spread awareness, collect in-kind and monetary donations, and more! Your specific role in the planning process will depend on your comfort level, skillset, how much time you have to offer, etc. A staff member from the Listen and Talk Events team will meet with you to discuss how to best utilize your time and skills to ensure that this is a meaningful volunteer experience. We look forward to working with you as we make sure no child is limited by hearing loss.

*While Listen and Talk is located in Kirkland, WA, we serve children and families all across the Puget Sound Region. This volunteer position will mostly be remote, but we hope to build a volunteer base that is located in the general region we serve.

About LISTEN AND TALK

Location:

8244 122ND AVE NE, KIRKLAND, WA 98033, US

Mission Statement

Listen and Talk teaches children with hearing loss to communicate and learn through listening and spoken language.

Description

Listen and Talk is a specialized listening and spoken language program that has been delivering life-changing results for families with children who are deaf or hard-of-hearing for over 25 years.

Our goal is to provide each child with the skills needed to have meaningful relationships and learn by listening to the world around them. As a listening and spoken language service provider, we coach each family and work with each child so they can reason, think independently and communicate their thoughts with intelligible speech without the need for an interpreter.

Listen and Talk students enrolled in our listening and spoken language programs become self-advocates. We empower children to enter social situations and problem solve with confidence.
