AccentCare Hospice is seeking compassionate volunteers to help brighten the lives of our patients and assist with meaningful legacy projects that honor our patients’ lives. Whether you are sewing memory bears, helping a patient compile their favorite recipes, assisting with hand-mold kits, or transcribing a patient’s stories, you can make a difference in the lives of hospice patients. While you are brightening our patients’ lives you might find that your life becomes brighter too!
AccentCare Hospice, formerly Seasons Hospice, serves patients and families in your area. We are currently seeking new volunteers to help our patients, families and staff create a variety of legacy projects that our patients’ loved ones can keep and share with future generations. Our team utilizes different kinds of legacy projects, including memory bears, recordable storybooks, hand-mold kits, fingerprint jewelry and artwork, greeting cards for future life events, writing or recording life stories, and more. These meaningful projects can be done with a patient at their bedside, or you can assist our team at the office with completing these projects so they can be presented to families.
Even if you only have a few hours a month to give, we would be honored to have you join our team and support our mission of offering compassionate, personalized hospice care. Training is free and flexible to fit your schedule and you can choose what area you want to serve. Students age 15 and up are encouraged to join us as indirect volunteers or can buddy with another trained teen or adult to make in-person visits to patients in facilities.
We look forward to hearing from you and helping you find ways to share your time with those at the end of life.
