Each year, the ReStore pulls out all of its Christmas and other Winter-themed items to decorate the store. Then we offer everything at a deep discount the week after Christmas. And then we need everything that's left put away for next year! We need a volunteer, or even two or three volunteers working together, to put away our holiday items on or around December 30 (exact date negotiable). This needs to happen between 9 and 5 on a day the ReStore is open.
We believe this task will take one day to complete, in just a few hours.
This role involves standing most of the time, it involves reaching for things in high places. You need to be able to lift about 25 pounds - but you can ALWAYS ask for assistance from ReStore staff for picking up and moving any item (or anything else you need assistance with).
The ReStore supports the work of West Tuality Habitat for Humanity, a nonprofit that believes everyone deserves a safe and decent place to live and volunteers help make it happen. Our programs not only build homes, they build community.
The volunteer will go through an interview with one of our staff members by Zoom or onsite at the ReStore, sign a waiver, and must follow our Code of Conduct, which is available on our web site.

Description
We are West Tuality Habitat for Humanity, based in Forest Grove, Oregon. We are a nonprofit organization committed to bringing people together to build homes, communities and hope. With the help of donors, volunteers, and sponsors we team up with local families to build homes with an affordable mortgage and do critical home repairs in Western Washington County. We serve the communities of Forest Grove, Cornelius, Gaston, Gales Creek, Buxton, Banks, North Plains and the surrounding areas in Western Washington County, Oregon. We are an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International.
