The Western Pennsylvania Bleeding Disorders Foundation is in need of volunteers for our annual Take A Bough Holiday Gala!
What is Take A Bough?
Join us on Saturday, November 16, for our Final Night Event at Red Fox Winery in Hickory, PA! Doors open at 5:30 p.m. The evening will feature our holiday tree and wreath auction, a delicious dinner, games, music, and a presentation highlighting WPBDF’s Women’s Initiative and the volunteers who make our work possible. Wine from Red Fox Winery will be available for purchase. Throughout the night, there will be raffles and other games of chance to win even more!
How Can I Help?
Volunteers are needed on Saturday, November 16th!
Volunteers are needed to help tranporting items, setting-up the venue, during the event, and assiting with clean-up! We will need to load the trees and wreaths at the Foundation office (located at 775 Fourth Street, Beaver, PA 15009) and unload them at the venue (Red Fox Winery, 80 Red Fox Rd, Hickory, PA 15340). Set-up at the venue will begin at 3:00 pm.
Volunteers are also needed to assist with check-in/registration, selling raffle tickets, running our games, keeping the buffet area clean, and gathering and packaging auction items at the end of the night for our winners!
Set-Up Volunteers: Arrive by 3:00 PM
Game Volunteers:Arrive by 5:00 PM
Raffle Ticket Sale Volunteers: Arrive by 5:00 PM
Photographer: Arrive by 5:00 PM
Buffet Volunteers: Arrive by 5:00 PM
Clean-Up/Check-Out Volunteers: Arrive by 8:00 PM
Check-out will begin at 8:30 pm, and we expect clean-up to finish by 9:30 pm.

WPCNHF is part of a larger umbrella organization - National Hemophilia Foundation (NHF). Established in 1948, NHF is the premier organization in the U.S. serving the bleeding and clotting disorders community. For sixty years, NHF continues to be a vital resource for prevention education and provides a network of support for the estimated 3 million Americans living with bleeding disorders and their families.
At our local chapter, WPCNHF assists families and individuals through a variety of programs and services including peer support groups, emergency financial assistance, advocacy, support for summer camps and educational programs to stay informed. It is our goal to promote opportunities for people who have a bleeding disorder to lead normal, productive lives.
