We are looking for an experienced project manager to help us put on our 11th annual fundraising event, a 5K 10k run walk to raise money for ovarian cancer research and support services.

The ideal volunteer will have project management experience and be extremely organized. This position will be around 5 to 10 hours per week, with the possibility of up to 15 hours closer to event weekend.

Some of the job tasks include working with our event planner to manage vendors and community partners, overseeing the timeline and management of outreach efforts, leading an executive committee and delegating tasks accordingly as well as securing in-kind donations. Must be comfortable and familiar with Google Suite.

While this is a big job to take on, it is extremely rewarding. We are a small but mighty team, dedicated to making change happen for women and families who are dealing with an ovarian cancer diagnosis.

We are looking for someone who might possibly be newly retired or a stay at home mom or any professional with some years of experience in the workforce.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to support research for the treatment of ovarian cancer, including the development of a reliable diagnostic test to detect the disease in its early stages, and to support agencies that provide support services for women and their families dealing with ovarian cancer.

Description

Our biggest fundraiser, The Teal Run, has brought over 2,000 participants together and raised over $400,000 for ovarian cancer research and support services. We fund cutting edge research for an early detection test for ovarian cancer as well as support services for women who have been diagnosed with the disease. This year we are looking to broaden our reach with apparel collaborations as well as obtaining corporate sponsorships for the run.
