St. David’s Hospice is actively seeking dedicated volunteers to assist our staff with administrative tasks in our office. Our Hospice program focuses on giving needed physical, emotional, and spiritual support and comfort to patients that have been diagnosed with a life-limiting or terminal illness. Volunteers play a meaningful role in our program, and administrative volunteers help us keep our day-to-day office tasks running smoothly.
Tasks administrative volunteers may help with include: contacting patients and families, data entry, filing, preparing mailouts and patient letters, sending cards, assembling admission packets and other clerical tasks as needed. Volunteers are encouraged to share any special skills or experience with staff.
We are looking for volunteers who can make a commitment to volunteer 2 or so hours a week. Volunteer shifts are flexible and tailored to the volunteer’s schedule and availability. No previous administrative or clerical experience is needed.
Volunteering a couple of hours a week can make a significant difference in our office operations. We hope you will consider becoming an administrative volunteer and joining the St. David’s Hospice team.
