Position Title: Front Desk Assistant Volunteer
Purpose/Goal of Position: Make a meaningful impact in your community by volunteering with the Escondido Salvation Army! As a Front Desk Volunteer, you’ll play a vital role in taking calls at the front desk and handing out emergency food boxes. Your efforts will help ensure those in need receive the support they deserve.
Qualifications:
- Customer Service Skills: Excellent customer service skills are essential.
- Compassion: A compassionate attitude towards working with homeless and low-income individuals.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail is crucial.
- Bilingual: English and Spanish speakers preferred, but not required.
Duties:
- Answer Phones: Handle phone inquiries with professionalism and care.
- Emergency Food Boxes: Hand out emergency food boxes to those in need.
- Front Desk Assistance: Provide support at the front desk, assisting clients and managing administrative tasks.
- Miscellaneous Tasks: Perform other administrative and food pantry-related duties as needed.
Shifts:
- Commitment: 2-hour shift
- Schedule: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
