Why Volunteer at Cloven Heart?

Do you love animals? Do you like smiling? Do you like knowing all your hard work made a difference in the life of an animal?
Volunteering with any organization that helps others is very important because these organizations always need help. You feel good about yourself when you help others. Volunteering for a nonprofit that helps animals is always fun because you never know what's going to happen. The animals are amazing and adorable. You get to experience how fun a farm animal is and start to realize they have personalities and are just like puppies who love to play. You can learn a lot about animal care and how to be around an animal safely. But, most importantly, the work you do has immediate gratification. Your hard work, when you volunteer, helps you see something that needed attention and is now clean and orderly or made better for an animal by the time you leave. That is a very good feeling.

Mission Statement

Cloven Heart Farm Sanctuary is a humble little sanctuary advocating for farm animals. At Cloven Heart, we are all about restoring dignity to their lives, saving them from abuse, neglect, slaughter, and healing their broken bodies and souls. Animals are used. Period. Their bodies and their spirits are wrecked by a civilization that believes they have the right to. Worldwide, there is an epidemic of cruelty towards animals. We hope to change the world. We hope to change a life. By saving these animals, we are showing them that although they were hurt they can heal and be strong again, that although they were used they can find peace and respect, that although they were abandoned they are loved and can trust again, that although they were sad and confused by the cruelty of their previous life, at Cloven Heart they are safe and have a loving home and for the rest of their lives they will know nothing but love, happiness, and family. The world can change the way it treats animals.
