Have you wondered how you can be a part of someone’s transition off the streets but don’t know where to begin?

Join us as a Volunteer Guide at The Compass Station and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our unsheltered neighbors.

As a Volunteer Guide, you will be the welcoming face greeting our unhoused guests and helping them access essential services and resources. You’ll play a key role in our mission by supporting guests with:

  • Document Recovery: Assisting guests with obtaining lost birth certificates, IDs, social security cards, and more.
  • Device Charging & Laundry: Offering guests a space to charge their devices and do their laundry.
  • Clothing Distribution & Coffee Station: Providing clean clothing and serving hot coffee to those in need.
  • Resource Connections: Helping guests connect to vital services like housing options, veterans' services, mental health support, detox and rehab programs, and more.
  • Benefit Enrollment: Assisting guests in signing up for EBT, Medi-Cal, and other benefits they may qualify for.

Shoreline Community Services is proud to connect our unsheltered neighbors with the support they need to take the next steps toward self-sufficiency. We can’t do it alone-we need YOU to make it happen!

Why Volunteer with Us?

  • Make a real impact in your community by helping individuals access the resources that can change their lives.
