  • 9 people are interested

The Childhood Arthritis and Rheumatology Research Alliance (CARRA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to conducting collaborative research to prevent, treat, and cure pediatric rheumatic diseases. We are currently looking for a dedicated volunteer to assist with data entry and record auditing for our internal research-related processes. These include request processes to access and use CARRA Registry data and biosamples for research studies, obtain assistance with programming and distributing surveys, receive letters of support or to use CARRA resources for research studies, and submitting publications for CARRA review.

We are in the process of migrating to Salesforce from our current systems. While most of the data migration is complete, we need a volunteer to cross-check records to ensure all information has migrated accurately. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience with data management in a research-focused environment while contributing to meaningful work in pediatric rheumatology.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • ·Audit all records related to CARRA research processes, including Data and Sample Share, Research Support and Service (resource) Requests, Publications, and Surveys. This involves manually comparing old records with migrated records in Salesforce and making necessary corrections.
  • ·Upload relevant files to the associated records.
  • ·Update administrative fields based on information within the files.
  • ·Collaborate with CARRA’s Research Manager and participate in weekly virtual check-ins.

Desired Skills:

· Experience with Salesforce

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy

· Experience with data entry and record-keeping

· Good organizational skills

· Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Mission Statement

CARRA's Mission is to conduct collaborative research to prevent, treat, and cure pediatric rheumatic diseases.

Description

The Childhood Arthritis and Rheumatology Research Alliance (CARRA) is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization. As a prominent research network, CARRA brings together over 650 pediatric rheumatologists, physicians, researchers, healthcare professionals, and patients and caregivers.

Recognizing the importance of collaboration, CARRA's founding members initiated a registry project to gather information on the treatment and impact of childhood-onset rheumatic diseases. The CARRA Registry, now one of the largest in North America, serves as a valuable resource. Members of CARRA enjoy additional benefits, such as access to registry and biobank data, opportunities for research project funding, career and leadership development, participation in the Annual Scientific Meeting, and a supportive community passionate about pediatric rheumatology.

We are seeking volunteers to collaborate with our internal staff in various capacities, including roles in marketing and graphic design, accounting, fundraising, and more. CARRA operates remotely and any volunteer opportunities would be fully remote.
