A visiting angel is a volunteer who would like to make regular visits to a senior's home who is unable to leave their home. We are looking for volunteers who can do regular check-ins, provide social connectedness and a person who can troubleshoot issues and refer those issues to our organization for further referral. You may be asked to help the person who is home-bound to do light chores such as dishes or folding laundry or light cleaning.
You don't have to be a health care worker, you don't have to know the resources that the person needs. You only need to have a caring heart and an interest in the well-being of seniors who need someone to check on them. The geographic area is the mountain community of Jefferson, Clear Creek and Park Counties.
A much-needed volunteer opportunity is driving seniors to doctor appointments and errands. There are more details to this as far as background checks and safety training. If you are intersted in hearing more, please call or message us!

Mission Statement
Seniors4Wellness enriches the lives of seniors through programs and services that promote connection, vitality, and independence.
Description
Seniors4Wellness, a 501(c)(3) non profit located in Evergreen, Colorado, provides support and assistance to the seniors of the mountain communities of Jefferson County and surrounding areas. We offer services to help older adults remain social, active, and independent. For 40 years, The Senior Resource Center of Evergreen (SRC) provided seniors transportation, assistance, and community that they otherwise would not have access to. Sadly in 2020, The SRC, fondly known as The Yellow House closed, leaving seniors in the mountain communities of Evergreen, Conifer, Bailey, and Idaho Springs without services that allowed them to remain independent, active, and connected. Since then, no other organization has filled the gap left by The Yellow House. Seniors4Wellness offers monthly Wellness Classes, Game Day and Friday Cafe luncheons which provide social connections that help seniors maintain their sense of belonging, which has positive impacts on health, wellness and quality of life. The additional services of transportation and chores to assist the seniors of the foothills mountain community are available by volunteers.
