The San Jose International Short Film Festival is hosted at the Cinéarts Theater at the prestigious Santana Row complex in San Jose. This four day event features over 130 short films from around the world. The festival begin on October 24th and ends on October 27th. There is one setup day and one potential break down day.

"Supporting creative artists including singers, musicians, playwrights, and filmmakers, new and experienced, non-professional and professional, within Northern California and beyond, in showcasing their artistic passions, building relationships to create a stronger and deeper sense of local community, engaging in the shared act of performing in public settings, and raising awareness of the arts."

Description

We established the San Jose Pop Up Choir in 2015, a no audition adult choir for those that enjoy singing together, we produce an ongoing series of cabaret shows and monthly pop up open mic opportunities for the community to enjoy. Additionally we raise money for charity and other arts organizations through fundraising activities and events.

We host workshops on movement, singing and confidence and are now working with senior centers to bring music to them for special events.

All of our events, workshops and activities are free and open to the public.

  • Driver's License Needed
  • Must be at least 21
  • An average of four hours. Max of 8 hours.
  • The festival will provide a t-shirt that you can keep, but a love of movies is very helpful. There will be an opportunity to watch short films in the theater during your shift.
