Do you enjoy serving your community? Tacoma Rescue Mission's downtown emergency shelter needs volunteers to serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. These meals are thoughtfully prepared each day. Breakfast is from 6am-9am, lunch is from 11am-2pm, and dinner is from 4pm-7pm. Volunteers will be nourishing the community including Tacoma's homeless population. We welcome groups or individuals.

Volunteers must be at least 8 years old, and under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

We help all people; including clients, volunteers, donors and staff, to become their best. We provide emergency services such as shelter and food to the homeless or hurting; offer self-sufficiency programs to help lift a person from poverty and break the chains of addiction; support prevention programs and share our Christian faith.

Description

Without your gift of service, we are not able to accomplish the work we do. By volunteering, you are able to walk alongside those in need throughout our community and be a symbol of hope to the hurting individuals that are experiencing homelessness. Whether you are an individual, family or group, we would love to find a volunteer opportunity for you!
