Angels to the Animals deliveries cat and dog food to elderly and impoverished folks in Lincoln County monthly as part of our Community Cat and Dog Food Assistance Program. 100% of the food is donated from the hearts of our generous donors. Volunteers pick up food at our food storage unit, and deliver to 9 families (mostly in Lincolnton and Denver areas). Total time from pick up to delivery is approximately 2 hours/month. We are in need of volunteers who can drive and commit to this critical program to help our neighbors feed their pets. You initially will ride along with one of our seasoned volunteers, and then every other month deliver the food at a time convenient for you. Fill their bowls with love! It is so rewarding to see the joy of the wags and whiskers for whom you are helping to get critical nourishment!

About Angels to the Animals, Inc.

Location:

P.O. Box 1745, Denver, NC 28037, US

Mission Statement

Angels to the Animals is committed to encouraging and educating owners about creating a nurturing and humane environment for their pets, as well as finding loving, permanent homes for surrendered and homeless pets. Our mission is to protect and advocate for pets in need, and to build a humane community that promotes compassion, kindness, and a clear opportunity for quality life beyond chained, forgotten, and neglected animals in Lincoln County.

Description

Our team of volunteers provides frequent and consistent onsite care including food and water, shelter and straw, veterinary care including vaccinations, flea and tick control, heartworm testing and treatment, spay and neuter, as well as toys and treats. Of course all of this is accompanied by lots of love. We also help folks in our community with Filling Their Bowls With Love program that assists getting food to elders and impoverished neighbors for their pets. One of our main ongoing needs is fostering. Fostering is such a rewarding experience of giving animals in need a second chance. Angels to the Animals does not have a shelter facility so we depend on fosters to help with the care of our animals. Angels to the Animals will provide each foster home with food, bowls, bedding, leashes, toys, crates, and medical care for the animals in foster homes, including vaccinations, medications and spay/neuter surgery. Foster families provide exercise, socialization and lots of love. Be A Foster Save A Life!
