We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Volunteer Executive Assistant to work closely with our President and Founder, Dr. Nordia Sherwood. The ideal candidate will support the day-to-day administrative needs of Dr. Sherwood and assist in key organizational operations. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of the nonprofit and will require someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about supporting a mission-driven organization.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage scheduling, appointments, and meetings for the President/Founder.
* Assist with communication and coordination with partners, board members, and volunteers.
* Handle administrative tasks such as drafting emails, preparing reports, and maintaining documentation.
* Help coordinate events, workshops, and special projects.
* Provide support in managing social media and content creation with the virtual assistant team.
* Assist in tracking nonprofit initiatives, including grant applications and volunteer outreach.
Qualifications:
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
* Experience in administrative support or executive assistance is a plus.
* Passionate about youth empowerment and nonprofit work.

Chance for a Brighter Future is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit youth organization dedicated to empowering families and youths who have experienced trauma. Our mission is to provide mentorship to youth, educational support, motivation, and to inspire them in their journey to adulthood. We believe that every young person, regardless of their past, deserves the opportunity to succeed and thrive.
We actively partner with public schools to host wellness events aimed at supporting the emotional and physical well-being of students. Additionally, we organize community enrichment activities by collaborating with other organizations, offering valuable life skills training and educational resources to ensure youth are equipped for the future. Our Christmas toy giveaways bring joy and hope to families during the holiday season, reinforcing our commitment to supporting children and families in need.
Through mentorship programs, motivational events, and educational support, we foster a safe and encouraging environment where youth can heal, grow, and be inspired to achieve their full potential.
