Empowering Women: Be a Mentor with CLARE Matrix Workshop

As a part of our EMPOWER! Series, this is a volunteer opportunity to support women looking to re-enter the Workforce! Join us in-person and use your life experience to mentor women to land their dream job.

Why: The job market has become more difficult for individuals with a higher barrier to entry. These workshops create access for these indivudals to boost their skills and chances in landing the dream job.

Who: Our nonprofit partner, CLARE Matrix, supports individuals with compassionate, evidence-based treatment for those who struggle with behavioral health challenges. These Career Readiness workshops are proven to get individuals on the right track in making a difference in their lives.

What to Expect: 1.5 Hour Workshop based in a Career Readiness Topic such as Resume Building or Interview Skill Development. The Workshop begins with the presentation (presented by a Volunteer Facilitator or L.A. Works Staff) on the topic and then continues into a group/1:1 mentoring discussion.

What's Required: Life Experience. The topics that will be discussed are based on an intro-level coursework that is meant to spark the motivation in these individuals and provide useful tools and resources.
