Help us make our Quaint Victorian Holiday event at Rengstorff House a cheerful success!

  • Help with event setup and breakdown: This includes tasks like setting up the refreshment table, photography area, craft station, and games stations.

  • Be a welcoming presence for our guests: Greet guests, provide information about the event and museum, answer questions (e.g., "Where's the bathroom?" "What are the tour times?"), and help ensure everyone has a positive experience.

  • Lead historically inspired craft activities: Share the joy of making something new with families! Instructions and all materials will be provided. (Note: More craft stations will be added to the program if we have enough volunteers for this role.)

  • Supervise the outdoor game area: Weather permitting, volunteers will oversee games on the brick patio (in case of muddy lawns), engage with families, and invite them to play, demonstrating how if needed. Games are simple and fun, such as bean bag toss, ring toss, and hoop and stick.

Bonus:

  • Free refreshments: Enjoy drinks and snacks to keep you energized throughout the event.

  • Flexible hours: The event runs from 10 am to 4 pm, but we can accommodate shorter shifts if needed. Just let us know!

  • Earn volunteer service hours: High school students can earn credit for their participation.

  • No experience required: We'll provide a program overview and task-specific instructions.

Sign up and share this volunteer experience with friends. We'd love for you to join us in making this a memorable community event!
