The Alzheimer’s Association Hudson Valley Chapter is seeking a Support Group Facilitator for an in-person Middletown Early Stage Alzheimer's/Dementia support group that runs the Second Thursday from 1-2:30pm. Please note the location to account for distance if travel is needed.
Support Group Facilitators create a safe, open environment where people share their feelings, thoughts and experiences in a combined effort to better cope with and manage the shared problems of dementia. The goal of Alzheimer's Association support groups is to provide emotional, social and/or educational support to group members. We provide comprehensive training and support to help facilitators confidently run their groups.
