Volunteer Opportunity: Donation Outreach for Tax Services at Pio Decimo Center
Location: 848 S 7th Ave, Tucson, AZ (Flexible: in-office or remote)
About Us:
Join the Pio Decimo Center’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, which has made a significant impact in our community by filing over 15,000 tax returns and securing more than $14.5 million in refunds. Our volunteers play a vital role in helping families access financial resources and improve their lives.
Volunteer Role:
We need your help to gather donations for our program, including:
- Snacks/drinks for volunteers
- Gift cards to purchase materials/for volunteers
- General Office Supplies
- Decorations, catering, etc. for Volunteer Appreciation Dinner
What You’ll Do:
- Reach out to potential donors, typically via online application platforms
- Create narratives about our program and supply relevant information (guidance provided)
- Potentially make calls or visit local businesses to request support
Requirements:
- Willing to undergo Diocese Volunteer vetting procedure, which involves submitting an application with references, complete a safety training video series, and undergo a background check
- Communication skills
- Flexible hours: contribute as much time as you can!
