Program Overview:

HOPE Harbor of Minneapolis provides efficiency apartments with affordable rent to individuals with low income.

Description of Position:

As a volunteer for this role, you will provide detailed administrative support to the program director.

Specific Duties:

  • Perform administrative support tasks such as filing, tracking/reporting statistical information using Excel.
  • Assist in taking minutes during staff meetings.

Qualifications Sought:

  • Proficient in working with Excel spreadsheets
  • Strong communication skills
  • Organized and attentive to details
  • Comfort working in a housing environment
  • Friendly, patient, and willing to help

Schedule : Flexible M-F from 9:00 am-noon or noon-3:00 pm

Length of Commitment : 1-3 shifts per week for 3 months.

Description

The Salvation Army offers social services and recreational programs with the goal of addressing specific physical, emotional, spiritual, and social needs of each family, individual, child/youth, or elderly person. Services provided include, but not limited to: emergency food shelves, school supply programs, rental/utility assistance, educational programs, outreach to the homeless, family and youth camping, community center programs, Christmas assistance programs, nursing home visitations, corrections programs, and disaster services.
